Our client, one of the largest owner-operators and developers of Affordable Housing nationwide, has engaged us in the search for multiple VPs of Affordable Housing Development to join their team. Since its inception, our client has acquired a portfolio of more than 12,000 units nationwide and continues to pursue aggressive growth, with the support of private equity investors and unrestricted access to capital. Through an entrepreneurial and forward-thinking strategy, as well as advanced business acumen, and progressive, collaborative culture, this full-service real estate company works to provide Affordable Housing for low-income families throughout the United States.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a highly entrepreneurial opportunity for well-experienced Affordable Housing Development professionals to lead and build their own business unit and team acquiring, financing, and developing apartment communities for low-income residents while owning serious equity in their deals. Our client has created a hub & spoke entrepreneurial business model wherein they provide the back-office infrastructure including HR, IT, Accounting, Legal, Compliance, Finance, & Management along with development and asset management guarantees. This opportunity reports directly to the CEO and enables qualified development professionals with strong production records the ability to live anywhere in the United States of their choosing and continue to focus on the markets they know best.
With aggressive appetites for acquisitions and growth, this company is very well-financed with unrestricted access to capital and the capability to acquire multiple deals or portfolios simultaneously, while leveraging its growing platform, and well-established organizational structure and culture at company headquarters.
Our client is looking for top-performing, industry-specific professionals interested in the opportunity to participate in the economics of deals based on their production value as well as the ability to mentor and grow their own team members as they accelerate their own progress.
QUALIFICATIONS

A highly successful track record to acquire Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and Affordable Housing investments (self-sufficiency leading a minimum of ~ten+ deals); a visionary with proven leadership qualities and an entrepreneurial mindset

Strong financial acumen managing complex capital stacks, hard and soft funding, tax-exempt bonds, and private funding

Demonstrate expertise in acquisitions, capital and transactional structuring, development, construction, operations, dispositions, financing,
