KM has been retained by the President and CIO in the search for a Senior Vice President of Investor Relations for a multi-investor institutional private equity fund that acquires a diversified portfolio of existing affordable rental properties to achieve investment targets and meet social impact objectives.
This Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) is closely affiliated with one of the largest owners of Affordable Housing in the country, with offices in almost a dozen states. Our client is a leading provider of tax credit investments, asset management, and development services to the nation’s largest corporations and financial institutions, for-profit and nonprofit developers, property owners, and communities. THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is looking to hire a Senior Vice President of Investor Relations who brings strong experience with Multifamily Real Estate Private Equity Funds.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Contribute to a new venture with a collaborative team
-
Act as the primary point of contact for investors during the closing process
-
Communicate and understand the fund terms, answer inquiries in a timely manner, and close investors into each fund

Deliver due diligence materials to prospective investors in an effective, timely manner
-
Lead and drive the closing process and securing capital commitments
-
Manage relationships with private placement managers and the internal Investor Relations team from other business lines to track capital raise efforts, coordinate meetings/closings, and prepare all necessary documents

Take over relationships for subsequent fund investments and introduce existing relationships to senior team members

Manage pitchbook updates and all presentations, including fund pitchbooks and semi-annual investor presentations

Assist in the process for each new fund formation including coordinating with the legal team, finalizing the PPM, LPA, & other materials

Demonstrate and utilize a strong understanding of competitive terms and structures for private equity funds as well as Affordable Housing terminology and investments

Serve as the main point of contact for all marketing efforts including press releases, website development, branding, and other marketing campaigns

Travel to meet with existing and prospective investors, attend industry conferences and events, and visit the company’s corporate offices a few times each year
TARGET HIRING PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Willingness to travel frequently at times, as needed, to raise capital and build investor relationships

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and respectful, professional demeanor
-
10+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Multifamily Investments, and Private Equity Funds

Affordable Housing/LIHTC experience is a plus

Strong presentation and Excel skills

Willingness to collaborate effectively with a talented, capable team

Ability to take initiative, execute with urgency and produce results

Organized and detailed-oriented with acute attention to accuracy details
