The Opportunity

We have been engaged by the President of a rapidly growing National Tax Credit Syndicator (Renewable, Historic & NMTC) and Institutional Investment Management firm in the search for an experienced, top performing Institutional Sales professional. This entrepreneurial organization has been in business for several decades and has established consistent YOY growth, with a business model that has proven they can thrive and be successful in a variety of economic conditions. They have the appetite and resources to continue their growth with a lean team. Recently, our client doubled the amount of equity they deployed from one year to the next. They have a flat structure in terms of decision making, which allows for expedited results, more autonomy and opportunities to advance your knowledge and level of responsibility. This organization gravitates toward highly entrepreneurial professionals who have the interest and motivation to be heavily involved in driving continued future growth. Our client has more than $5B in equity invested in the Tax Credit marketplace.


This position is newly created due to growth and will be responsible for cultivating and building relationships, raising institutional Tax Credit equity, and investor relations. Their collaborative structure offers the support of an experienced team of individuals in Originations, Underwriting, Asset Management, Investor Reporting and Administration.

Hiring Profile:

  • Strong Sales background, business acumen and knowledge of the Tax Credit industry

    • At least 5 years of successful Sales experience

    • Prior Real Estate experience

    • Possess comprehensive Corporate Tax and Investment (Real Estate, leasing or similar) knowledge

    • Excellent skills and experience in presenting to senior corporate officers

  • Series 7 or 22 and appropriate multiple state securities licenses

  • Proven analytical skills in Finance and Tax (understanding of financial modeling and ability to explain financial analysis)

  • Have the ability to present complex information in a way that enables clients to make informed investment decisions

  • Strong relationship building skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Have the ability to present complex information in a way that enables clients to make informed investment decisions

  • Ability to work diligently with little direct supervision, independently as well as with a team

  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, dedicated and entrepreneurial as well as extremely detail-oriented, adaptable and resilient, with strong follow-up skills and the ability to think outside the box

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize as well as manage a high volume of work with multiple clients in multiple locations

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills & willingness to travel


Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Focus on Federal and State Tax Credit driven investments

  • Outreach to Developers, banks, insurance companies, Tax Associates, Fortune 500 companies, etc.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key parties through proactive and continuous communication, as well as site visits and meetings, to raise institutional capital

  • Further our client’s brand in the marketplace
