Senior Asset Management Professional

  • Successfully managed a portfolio of 40-50 affordable multifamily loans (LIHTC 4%/9% projects, acquisition-rehab, & new construction) and one hotel (over $200 million in debt) to ensure that assigned loan portfolio maintains acceptable credit quality, adheres to company policies and procedures, and conforms to regulatory requirements

  • Developed good working relationships with clients and worked collaboratively with colleagues at all levels across the company to ensure a high level of responsiveness and client relationship management

  • Performed portfolio monitoring activities to include timely completion of annual reviews for approximately 15 client relationships, quarterly trending reports, and other regular borrower/guarantor/project financial analyses  

  • Successfully managed a $48MM underperforming hotel loan, including a $4MM paydown to bring the loan back into compliance, which eventually led to the loan being refinanced and paid off

  • Presented on quarterly portfolio review calls with senior management and credit, lead client calls, and acted as a liaison between production and credit

  • Reviewed and approved construction draw funding packages and worked closely with construction disbursement team to ensure that all company guidelines are observed, loan remains in balance, and interest reserve remains adequate

  • Proactively identified and managed underperforming assets (“watch list”) within portfolio and provided recommendation on risk mitigating structures when applicable

  • Reviewed loan documents, limited partnership/operating agreements and other legal documents, including covenant and guaranty structures to verify all conditions are being met

  • Leading the asset management process and involved in every aspect of a project post closing; takes deal from project manager after closing, oversees project during the construction phase and reviews monthly draw packages, assesses property performance and risk profile, reviews quarterly and audited financial statements within 10 days of receipt, prepares annual relationship reviews for management and credit partners, collaborates internally on client issues to arrive at a resolution acceptable for all parties, and manages a project through the life of a loan
